The Grand Passage Sportsmen is proud to be selected as the host of the 2023 Nebraska State Duck Calling Contest! The winner of this state contest qualifies for the World Championship Duck Calling Contest in Stuttgart, Arkansas on Thanksgiving weekend (November 25-26, 2023).
State Calling Contest Format (No Age Limit):
- Main Street Style Routine
- Hail or long distance call
- Feed or chatter call
- Comeback call
- Mating or Lonesome Hen
In conjunction with the State Contest, the Grand Passage Sportsmen will also host a Novice Meat Duck Calling Contest. This will be a Hunting Style routine format open to anyone that has not won a contest before. There will be 2 age groups with prizes for the top 3 in each age group: 1) 16 and younger; 2) 17 and older.
Novice Contest Format (2 Divisions):
- Meat Style Routine
- Hunting style hail or long distance call
- Greeting call
- Feed or chatter call
- Comeback call
- Mating or Lonesome Hen

State Contest:
1st = $500 plus ticket to World Championship
2nd = $250
3rd = $100
