We are excited to announce the 2024 Grand Passage Outdoor Expo which will include Duck Calling Contests and a Vendor Fair! Held in conjunction with the city’s annual summer festival (Old Settlers Days), we anxiously invite all outdoor enthusiasts and families to join us for a fun filled day of calling contests, vendor displays, and kids activities!
The Grand Passage Sportsmen is proud to be selected as the host of the 2024 Nebraska State Duck Calling Contest for the 2nd year! New for this year, we are adding the Craig Guillaume Memorial Regional contest. Craig Guillaume was a beloved figure in our community, known for his dedication to youth and wildlife conservation with his exceptional skill in duck calling. He left an indelible mark on our community, and through this memorial regional, we aim to keep his spirit alive, promoting the values he stood for and inspiring future generations.
We have significantly increased contest payouts for 2024 and look forward to a fun and competitive event. Both winners of the state & regional contest qualifies for the World Championship Duck Calling Contest in Stuttgart, Arkansas on Thanksgiving weekend (November 30, 2024).
State & Regional Calling Contest Format (No Age Limit):
- Main Street Style Routine
- Hail or long distance call
- Feed or chatter call
- Comeback call
- Mating or Lonesome Hen
In conjunction with the Regional & State Contests, the Grand Passage Sportsmen will also host 2 Meat Duck Calling Contests. This will be a Hunting Style routine format open to anyone that has not won a contest before. There will be 2 age groups with prizes for the top 3 in each age group: 1) 16 and younger; 2) 17 and older.

- Comeback call
- Mating or Lonesome Hen

1st = $750 plus ticket to World Championship
2nd = $250

Regional Contest ($50 Entry Fee):
1st = $2,000 plus ticket to World Championship

Open Meat Contest ($50 Entry Fee):
1st = $1,000
2nd = $500
3rd = $250
Youth Meat Contest (Free Entry for Youth Age 16&U):
1st – 5th Place $850 in prizes
